Investor visa (A5) is issued to heads and/or deputy heads and/or heads of structural divisions of legal entities carrying out investment activities in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreigners and stateless persons making investments in accordance with the investment tax residency program, as well as their family members.
A single-entry visa is issued for up to 90 days, a multiple-entry visa – up to 5 years.
Business visa (B1, B2, B3) is issued to participants in conferences, symposia, forums, exhibitions, concerts, cultural, scientific, sports and other events; participants in meetings, round tables, exhibitions, expert meetings; accompanying humanitarian aid; persons arriving for the purpose of giving lectures and conducting classes at educational institutions; participants in youth, student and school exchange programs, with the exception of studying at educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, persons arriving for the purpose of installing, repairing and maintaining equipment; persons arriving for the purpose of providing consulting or auditing services; persons arriving to conduct negotiations, conclude contracts; persons arriving to conduct negotiations, conclude contracts within the framework of cooperation in the field of industrialization and investment; founders or the board of directors.
A single-entry visa of category B1, B2, B3 is issued for up to 90 days, multiple-entry B1 and B3 – up to 1 year, multiple-entry B2 – up to 180 days.
Visa for members of aircraft, sea and river vessels and train crews (B5) is issued to persons who are members of aircraft crews of regular and charter flights who do not have the appropriate certificate of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), members of train crews, as well as crews of sea and river vessels.
A single-entry visa is issued for up to 90 days, a multiple-entry visa for up to 1 year
Visa for permanent residence in the Republic of Kazakhstan (B8) is issued to persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan to obtain a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan; persons who are in the Republic of Kazakhstan from countries with which there are international agreements on visa-free entry ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as citizens of states specified in paragraph 17 of the Rules for the entry and stay of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as their exit from the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 21, 2012 No. 148, and who have applied to the internal affairs agencies to obtain a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Single-entry and multiple-entry visas are issued for up to 90 days.
Visa for family reunification (C2) is issued to persons who are family members of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan, ethnic Kazakhs and former compatriots and who have received a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan (for a period of at least two years), foreigners and stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as business immigrants. A single-entry visa is issued for up to 90 days, a multiple-entry visa for up to 1 year.
Working Visa (C3, C4, C5, C6) is issued to persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan or staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of work, as well as members of their families, persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan or staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan for independent employment in professions in demand in priority sectors of the economy, business immigrants, and seasonal foreign workers.
A single-entry visa C3 is issued for up to 90 days (for citizens of countries whose passports are not recognized by the Republic of Kazakhstan – up to 1 year), multiple-entry C3 – up to 3 years (for AIFC participants and bodies, employees of Astana Hub participants or employees of Astana Hub – no more than 5 years) or for the duration of the permit,
Single-entry C4, C5, C6 – up to 90 days, multiple-entry C4 – up to 3 years, multiple-entry C5 – up to 2 years (for ethnic Kazakhs – up to 3 years), multiple-entry C6 up to 1 year, but not exceeding the validity period of the permit.
Educational Visa (C9) is issued to persons traveling to the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of enrolling in educational organizations implementing educational programs of secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary, higher and postgraduate education; to persons studying in educational organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan implementing educational programs of secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary, higher and postgraduate education, including under organized student exchange programs and preparatory courses, as well as to members of their families; ethnic Kazakhs who have temporarily arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan and who have entered educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who have arrived under a visa-free regime, as well as to members of their families. A single-entry visa is issued for up to 90 days, a multiple-entry visa for up to 1 year.
